8. Chase Elliott – 2,008 points

Just like a year ago, Chase Elliott enters the playoffs in a hole when it comes to bonus points, but the good news is that he at least has the weight of his first Cup Series win off his shoulders. If Elliott can take a page from Kevin Harvick’s book and close some races out in the postseason, he may be a dark horse contender that surprises a few folks before things are all over in November.
