3. Martin Truex Jr. – 2,035 points

The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion was the master of winning stages last season, but he hasn’t quite maintained the blistering pace that he had a year ago in the first half of his title defense. Martin Truex Jr. still has four wins, however, and a healthy chunk of playoff points that will do him well in his pursuit of a second series title. He is arguably the sentimental favorite, since Furniture Row Racing is closing its doors at the conclusion of the season.
