CONCORD, N.C. — Wire-to-wire was the theme in the Round 2 make-up Bandolero features on Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with Cameron Bolin (Outlaws) and Landon Rapp (Bandits) picking up victories in their respective classes.

Bolin survived a green-white-checkered finish and a furious charge by opening night winner Isaak Love to notch his sixth-career Bojangles’ Summer Shootout victory and first in the Outlaws division.

“My grandpa had this car hooked up today,” Bolin grinned after the race. “We got one stolen from us last week, and I went into today telling myself we weren’t going to let that happen again.”

“I think we can go on a run here … we’re gonna try our best to, anyways. We went on a run of 11-0 in the past with this car, so I hope we can find the magic and get on a streak again.”

Love finished second ahead of a photo finish for third between Trevor Wester and Tommy Good.

Wester got the nod by a half-car length, with Good finishing fourth and Ethan Norfleet completing the top five.

With the fastest car on-track for much of the Bandits division feature, Rapp drove out to as much as a three-second lead at times, taking the twin checkers 2.291 seconds ahead of Leland Honeyman in the end.

The win was Rapp’s first-career points-paying win at the Summer Shootout and third overall.

“Our car started off pretty well in the beginning, but we got tight towards the end,” Rapp said. “I flicked my mirrors in toward the end so I wouldn’t look back. It means a lot to finally have a big class win here at Charlotte … hopefully we can get another one tonight too!”

Honeyman and opening night winner Parker Eatmon dueled back-and-forth for much of the 20-lap feature, with a crossover pass at the seven to go mark being the difference for Honeyman.

Eatmon hung on for third ahead of Jaiden Reyna and Stanley Hayes, who came back from a spin in the early stage of the race to round out the top five.

Luke Cooper raced to a dominant win in the Beginner Bandolero class, running out to nearly a six-second victory over second-place finisher Emily Hedstrom.

Cooper’s win was his first in Shootout competition.

Racing action for round three of the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout continues at 7 p.m. ET, with live coverage on LegendsNation.tv and social media updates via @RaceChaserNews on Twitter.
