LONG POND, Pa– Kyle Busch wins final practice on Saturday afternoon, ahead of Sunday’s, Overton’s 400 from Pocono Raceway.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver set the fast lap in the last minute of the practice session (50.898/176.824 mph).
The 2015 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion has never won at the “Tricky Triangle” and is also still win-less this season.
Kyle Larson backs up his pace from the previous practice session the morning, slotting in the second position (51.563/175.908 mph).
In the third position is Larson’s Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, Jamie McMurray (51.239/175.647 mph).
Four-time Pocono winner Denny Hamlin finishes the final session in fourth, while Chase Elliott concludes his run in the fifth spot.
June winner, Ryan Blaney finishes up in sixth, with Martin Truex Jr., Clint Bowyer, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kevin Harvick rounding out the rest of the top-ten.
Other notables in the session include, Jimmie Johnson in P11, Brad Keselowski P12, Kurt Busch P14, Dale Earnhardt Jr. P17, Kasey Kahne P18 and Daniel Suarez P23.
