HANFORD, Calif. — D.J. Netto put together a near-flawless performance Friday night at Keller Auto Speedway to notch his second feature win of the season, leading all 30 laps of the King of Kings 360 sprint car feature.
After earning the pole thanks to his dash victory, Netto rocketed away from Mitchell Faccinto on the initial start and proceeded to survive four restarts — including a green-white-checkered dash to the finish — to notch the win.
Netto’s triumph was worth $3,500 aboard the Tri-C Manufacturing/Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain No. 3C entry.
“Lee Lindgren and the boys gave me a really good race car on Friday night,” said Netto. “Thankfully, we were able to put together 30 good laps on a really slick track and pick up the win.”
Netto posted the fastest race lap on his opening trip around the high-banked, three-eighths-mile oval, a clip of 16.254 seconds.
Jace Vanderweerd finished second, followed by Kyle Hirst, who put up an astonishing rally to come from 21st to third in the main event.
Cory Eliason and Cole Macedo completed the top five finishers.
