Aaron Pierce doubled up Wednesday afternoon at Anderson Speedway, pacing Must See Racing Sprint Car Series practice in advance of Wednesday night’s Must See Racing 60.

Pierce led the winged warriors around the quarter-mile bullring with a quick lap of 10.344 seconds (87.007 mph) in the first round, a lap that held through the entirety of round two practice to top the overall charts.

Tampa, Fla. pilot Mickey Kempgens slotted in second overall with his first round lap of 10.427 seconds (86.314 mph) behind the wheel of his No. 5 PCS Racing/MK Graphics machine, with JoJo Helberg following in third. Helberg did not participate in the first round session, but clocked a lap of 10.453 seconds (86.100 mph) to lead the final round of practice.

Two-time and defending Pay Less Little 500 champion Jacob Wilson also did not go out in the first round, but shot a time of 10.530 seconds in final practice (85.470 mph) to sit fourth overall on the speed charts.

Jimmy McCune (10.701/84.104) rounded out the top five after participating in both rounds practice, with his lap coming in the second and final session as well.

13 cars in total will qualify beginning at 6 p.m. for tonight’s 60-lap main event, which kicks off at approximately 6 p.m. Eastern time.
