Mother Nature is simply not playing nice this race weekend.

With forecasts looking grim across the Southeast and Mid-South regions of the U.S., the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters has postponed their scheduled stop at Tennessee National Raceway this Saturday due to oversaturated grounds at the track and the forecast for additional rain through the day on Saturday.

The stars and cars of the USCS will instead return to the one-third mile clay bullring at TNR on Saturday, April 25 for a second shot at the inaugural Spring Speed Xplosion event. The race will be the opener for the 2015 USCS Mid-South regional championship series.

Expected entries for the event include 11-time USCS national champion Terry Gray and his teammate Morgan Turpen, both Volunteer State natives, as well as 2012 USCS champion and three-time USCS Mid-South champion Tim Crawley. The Benton, Ark. native won at TNR back in 2010.

Anthony Nicholson is the defending USCS 360 winner at Tennessee National, with this event being held in September of last year, and is also anticipated to be in attendance.

Six Tennessee National Raceway local divisions, including E-Mods, Limited Late Models and a $700-to-win Street Stock main event, will join the 360ci sprints on the racing card.
