MOORESVILLE, N.C. – After a thrilling regular-season finale that saw Florida watermelon farmer Ross Chastain earn his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory, the field of 12 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs have been set.

A dozen drivers will take aim at this year’s Xfinity Series title, starting this weekend at Richmond (Va.) Raceway, but only one will prevail and be crowned champion following the season-ending Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway in November.

In the following pages we’ll take a look at each of the 12 championship contenders and what their chances are to walk away with the big prize on Nov. 17.

Jacob Seelman

Jacob Seelman, 31, is the founder of 77 Sports Media and the current PR and digital content director for Race Face Brand Development. He studied Broadcast Journalism at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., and also serves as the full-time tour announcer for the Must See Racing Sprint Car Series. A 12-year veteran of covering all forms of racing, Seelman is a multi-time award-winning writer whose work has been published in both SPEED SPORT Magazine and Athlon Magazine, among other publications. He has also helped to mentor multiple other writers and content creators who have gone on to successful careers in motorsports.
