The fact that Ross Chastain enters the playoffs as the sixth seed is the ultimate Cinderella story. He’s capitalized on an opportunity to drive three races in Chip Ganassi Racing’s No. 42 Chevrolet, winning every stage he’s competed in with them and winning the race outright at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Some extra Ganassi support to his primary JD Motorsports team might just be enough to get Chastain all the way to Miami with a shot at the crown.
