LONG POND, Pa. — Justin Haley is perfect so far at Pocono Raceway.

Less than an hour after leading ARCA Racing Series practice at the 2.5-mile triangular superspeedway, the 18-year-old from Winimac, Indiana backed that effort up by topping the speed charts for GMS Racing in the opening practice session for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Haley posted a time of 53.056 seconds (169.632 mph) in the No. 24 Fraternal Order of Eagles Chevrolet Silverado, going nearly two tenths of a second quicker than Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Kyle Busch in the process.

The young gun, who missed the first two races of the season due to age restrictions, is seeking his first-career Truck win and will kick off his double-duty weekend by competing in the ARCA race later in the afternoon.

Busch timed in second-fastest overall in the No. 51 Cessna Toyota, clicking off a lap of 53.240 seconds (169.046 mph) as he chases his second Pocono Truck win in the last three years.

Haley’s teammate Kaz Grala was third (53.277/168.928), followed by Christopher Bell, Noah Gragson and Johnny Sauter.

Between GMS Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports, the two organizations swept the top six spots in the first 55-minute practice session.

Ben Rhodes, John Hunter Nemechek, Ryan Truex and Chase Briscoe completed the top 10.

Austin Cindric was 15th-fastest, despite a crash after completing just two flying laps that forced the No. 19 team to unload their backup truck.

Cindric shredded a left-rear tire and pounded the outside wall with the right rear corner of the truck, sustaining significant damage to the LTi Printing Ford F-150. He was later checked and released from the infield care center.

Final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice kicks off at 2 p.m.
