BOWMANVILLE, Ontario — Ryan Truex dashed to his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series stage win of the season during Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, after polesitter and early leader Austin Cindric was hit with a pit road penalty.

Truex inherited the lead after Cindric pitted on lap 32, but the 19-year-old was slapped with a stop-and-go for taking the fuel can outside of his pit box as he was leaving his stall, losing all his track position.

Cindric had led the first 31 laps of Sunday’s race and won the first stage.

From there, Truex held off Chase Briscoe by 1.43 seconds at the green-checkered flag, as the two dove in and out of traffic around the 10-turn, 2.459-mile road course.

ThorSport Racing teammates Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger trailed behind in third and fourth, with Enfinger sitting on the bubble among the drivers fighting to make the playoffs on points.

Austin Wayne Self was a surprise among the points-scoring drivers, notching a handful of stage points for AM Racingas he rounded out the top five.

Canadians D.J. Kennington and Jason Hathaway were sixth and seventh, with Victor Gonzalez Jr., Parker Kligerman and Todd Gilliland completing the top 10.

Only one caution slowed the second stage, coming on lap 24 when Jennifer Jo Cobb stalled on-track.
