8. Matt Crafton, 2,003 points

The two-time Truck Series champion is absolutely the last person you’d expect to be on the bottom of this list, but Crafton’s season – by his own admission – has been a huge struggle.

With only five top-five finishes in the first 16 races and no wins on asphalt since Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May of 2016 (he did win at Eldora last July), Crafton skated into the postseason on points and is hardly a favorite based on recent results. However, Crafton’s past championship experience could prove critical for him this year.
