CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kyle Larson was fastest in final practice for the NASCAR XFINITY Series in advance of Friday’s Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Kyle Larson led the field with a time of 29.158 seconds (185.198 mph), and was then followed by Erik Jones, Joey Logano, Daniel Suarez, and Brandon Jones.
Brandon Hightower’s practice was cut short around the 45-minute mark when the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro lost the rear end and smacked the wall in Turn 4, as Hightower attempted to correct the car. Hightower suffered heavy damage to the right-front corner of the car in the accident.
The XFINITY Series will return to the track tomorrow for qualifying at 4:45 before taking the green flag later that night at 8 pm (NBCSN, PRN, SiriusXM).
