May 2, 2014 — Race Chaser Online/Speed77 Radio audio — CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On last night’s weekly journey through the pavement late model and modified worlds, co-hosts Tom Baker and Jacob Seelman sat down with four talented drivers from NASCAR’s touring series to discuss their weekend exploits on Speed77 Radio powered by Race Chaser Online.

The pair spoke with NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Richmond winner Cole Custer, who spoke about his election into this year’s NASCAR Next class and what it took to beat teammate Nick Drake for his first KNPSE victory of the season, as well as NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Spring Sizzler champion Bobby Santos, who won the prestigious springtime classic for the third time in four years.

K&N Pro Series East top finishers Ronnie Bassett Jr. and Ben Rhodes also joined the program to talk about their runs in Virginia and Rhodes spoke candidly about another race that he participated in (and won) in his home state of Kentucky while gearing up for the famed Kentucky Derby, which takes place later this month.

Baker and Seelman also wrapped up the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown from South Boston and previewed the weekend’s racing action, with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West paying a visit to the Stockton 99 Speedway in California and the Valenti Modified Racing Series in action at the Seekonk Speedway, home track to New England correspondent and normal co-host Kyle Souza.

The show closed with a touching tribute to three-time F1 World Champion Ayrton Senna, honoring the 20th anniversary of his tragic death in Imola during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Baker offered commentary on the talented Brazilian’s life, accomplishments and legacy as the racing world remembered one of its brightest stars.

Speed77 Radio and Race Chaser Online would like to thank our sponsors Stock Car Steel and Aluminum and SRI Supplies for making this show possible, and we race on every Thursday night at 7 PM Eastern with even more pavement late model, modified and regional touring series coverage!

In case you missed it, enjoy the show!
