Kvapil’s stellar night was compounded by his win in the 250cc Intermediate class feature that sealed him a championship in that division.
He took the lead from outside polesitter Gage Painter on lap four and never looked back, trading slide jobs with Painter in every corner for three straight circuits around the sixth-mile before ultimately driving away amid six total cautions in the feature.
The most spectacular accident of the Intermediate main was when Jordyn Bregoli went for a series of wild flips in turns one and two before coming to rest at the bottom of the race track, drawing the red flag with nine laps to go. Bregoli was uninjured and walked away under her own power.
Painter finished second ahead of Taylor Gray, Ryan Israel and Ty Gibbs.
Younger brother Caden Kvapil finished seventh to capture the 125cc Intermediate class win, while Tucker Scanlon sealed the 125cc class championship by coming home eighth.
Trevor Cline, the younger brother of former NASCAR K&N Pro Series East regular Nick Drake, captured his first-career Millbridge Speedway victory in grand style by dominating to win the 20-lap Box Stock main event.
Cline started on the pole after winning his heat race and survived an early-race battle with Wyatt Underwood, who led six of the race’s first 10 laps.
But Cline ultimately inherited the race lead for good when Underwood got loose exiting turn two and spun on the bottom of the track, collecting multiple karts as Cline escaped unscathed on the outside lane.
From there, he never looked back and drove away to a 2.349-second victory as several top contenders scrapped for position behind him late in the going.
Ultimately it was Gavan Boschele who made the deciding pass for second with three laps to go, while Gray Leadbetter topped a thrilling three-wide battle for the final podium spot at the start-finish line.
Tyler Letarte and Box Stock champion Caden Kvapil completed the top five, with third through fifth separated by just .069 of a second in the end.
Cassidy Keitt came out on top of a wild Beginner Box Stock feature that saw three cautions in 15 laps and a six-lap dash to the checkered flag, topping Tyler Dolack and giving her back-to-back feature wins in the class to close the season.
Wednesday night was the second-straight mid-week race that Keitt and Dolack finished first and second, with Keitt making the deciding pass for the win on lap two and driving away from there.
She finished 2.733 seconds clear of Dolack, who won his heat race and entered the feature with a seven point lead; needing to finish second or better in order to clinch the division title.
He did exactly that and ended the night with an 18-point edge in the final tally. Dolack lead home title rival Nathan Meendering, whose third place finish was enough to edge Danny Dyszelski for second in the class standings by a single point.
Kynzer Flynn and Ethan Burdett rounded out the top five in the race, while Dyszelski finished sixth to secure third place in the Box Stock points race.
Millbridge Speedway will kick off its Winter Racing Series on Nov. 12, with the first in a series of four Saturday events between November and January at the fast sixth-mile oval.
The 2016 Awards Banquet will be held on Jan. 21, 2017 at Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte. Ceremonies kick off at 6 p.m.
