Bryson Ruff used a wire-to-wire victory in the round 10 finale to break an unprecedented three-way tie in the Bandolero Bandits class, leading all 20 laps and outdistancing rivals Josh Kossek and Cameron Bolin for his first title in the Bojangles-sponsored No. 24.

“I just had a really good car, and this week was my week to win,” Ruff said. “I stopped looking in my mirrors and just focused on trying to win. I was more nervous when we were tied than when I was able to get away.”

Kossek finished second ahead of Bolin, with the trio’s finishing order in round 10 determining their final championship placements.

Parker Eatmon and Stanley Hayes completed the top five.

Caden Kvapil made it two wins in a row in the Beginner Bandolero division to close the summer, passing Benjamin Johnson on lap four and going on to the victory and duplicating the feat his brother Carson pulled off in the Bandolero Bandits class one year ago.

Kvapil’s win was his third-career score in the entry-level Bandolero class, tying him for the most in the division’s seven-year history at the Shootout.

Grant Thompson, Adam Eades, Benjamin Johnson and David Sullivan were the balance of the top five.

The Beginner Bandoleros do not race for points, so no champion was crowned in that division.

Action resumes at Charlotte Motor Speedway Oct. 6-8, with the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returning for their fall weekend of stock car racing on the 1.5-mile speedway.
