KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A speedy day for Christopher Bell at Kansas Speedway saw the current championship runner-up end atop the speed charts during NASCAR Camping World Truck Series final practice on Thursday.

Bell posted a top lap of 30.272 seconds (178.383 mph) in his No. 4 SiriusXM Toyota Tundra, just eclipsing Justin Haley’s leading time from the first practice session earlier in the day.

Two-time Truck champion Matt Crafton completed a Toyota sweep of the top two spots in practice, touring the 1.5-mile oval in 30.418 seconds (177.526 mph) in his No. 88 Menards/Matador Jack Links Tundra for ThorSport Racing.

The GMS Racing Chevrolet Silverados of Kaz Grala (30.437/177.416) and defending series champion Johnny Sauter (30.454/177.317) were third and fourth, respectively, followed by Ben Rhodes’ ThorSport Toyota.

John Hunter Nemechek, Ryan Truex, Noah Gragson, Chase Briscoe and Grant Enfinger capped off the top 10.

Briscoe was the fastest Ford in ninth, while his teammate Austin Cindric landed 11th in final practice.

2014 Kansas Truck winner Kyle Busch was 12th-fastest in preparation for his second series start of the year.
