LONDON, Ontario, Canada — staff report by Managing Editor Jacob Seelman for Race Chaser Online — Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame photo — Famed supermodified driver Harvey Lennox, driver of the Bob Brown-built “Tammy Ten” machine, died yesterday at home in Canada surrounded by family and friends. Lennox was 83.

Lennox, from London, Ont., garnered 182 feature victories across Ontario and Michigan in the fifties and sixties and was a crowd favorite at venues including CNE Stadium and Oswego Speedway while driving the Tammy-10 modified. He won five international stock car championships, three Canadian titles and claimed track championships at CNE, Bridgeport, Nilestown and Delaware Speedway.

In 1961, Lennox won a 5-mile feature at Harewood Acres, the first supermodified event to ever be held on a Canadian road course. Lennox was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame in 1995.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be finalized.
