CONCORD, N.C. — story by Managing Editor Jacob Seelman for Race Chaser Online — speed51.com photo — Tuesday night was a night of blistering heat, intense racing, and streaks continued as Round 3 of the 2014 Jack in the Box Summer Shootout kicked off on the stage of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Chandler Smith (Bandits), Carson Ferguson (Young Lions) and Tom Pistone (Masters) all ran their win streaks to three in a row on the quarter-mile bullring, while Elijah Todd (Beginner Bandits), Ashton Winger (Outlaws) and Devin O’Connell (Semi-Pro) each grabbed their first Shootout wins of the young summer. Daniel Hemric came back from a rough crash in the Pro division make-up feature to notch his second win of the summer during the night.

William Byron (Pro), Chase Purdy (Outlaws) and Cameron Bolin (Beginner Bandits) were others who notched wins in the Round 2 make-up features, held in the daylight hours to start off the Week 2 program.
