That’s right, the Gen-6 NASCAR Sprint Cup Toyota Camry is coming to iRacing and the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series with the release of the newest build on Tuesday, April 22nd, and Gale Force Sim Racing (GFSR) has already jumped on the proverbial bandwagon.
Announced last night via Twitter, Gale Force will be switching from Chevrolet to Toyota for the remainder of the 2014 NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series season, beginning with the series’ next race at Pocono on May 6th.
“We wanted to switch because it would open up a whole new set of endeavors for the Gale Force Racing team,” said team principal Nick Ottinger of the announcement. “It has been something we have been waiting to do until the right time and we feel as a team it is a great move.”
GFSR’s seven drivers: Ottinger (pictured, No. 05), Brian Day (No. 4), Ashley Miller (No. 7), Rob Ackley (No. 22), Matt Bussa (No. 34), Michael J Johnson (No. 39), and Alex Scribner (No. 50) will all be making the manufacturer switch, opening up a whole new battle between the makes as the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series gets set to begin its summer stretch.

As the series heads to Pocono, with the shift in makes and alliances, who will come out on top? Will Ottinger be able to lead his Gale Force squad to Toyota’s first-ever victory at iRacing’s top level? Will Ray Alfalla be able to repeat his Pennsylvania magic from a year ago en route to his first win of 2014? Or will it be someone else who pushes the count to five different winners in five races this season?
