Call it an “almost” driver swap, if you will.

Just days after Brian Schoenburg announced his move to Slip Angle Motorsports for the 2015 NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series season, The Drill Aisle (formerly JScho Motorsports) has announced they have signed former SAM pilot Byron Daley to the team for a full-season championship effort.

Daley will jump aboard the recently-renamed championship-winning squad to work with defending NPAS champion Michael Conti, team principal Danny Hansen and multi-time NPAS winners Tom Lewandowski and Brad Davies.

“Everyone at The Drill Aisle is excited to begin working with Byron,” Hansen said in a team statement. “His technical expertise is a huge addition to an already championship winning team.”

“It is a pleasure to be a part of a championship caliber effort this year and I believe I am ready to make the most of it,” Daley said. “Drill Aisle has proven they have the know-how and the depth to deliver race wins and titles. I am looking forward to the potential this new opportunity has.”

“I’m ready to kick off the partnership at Daytona and I have no doubt as a team we will have a strong season.”

Daley most recently raced a Legend Car for Farbo Motorsports at the Winter Heat Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway last weekend, finishing 11th in his first effort at the quarter-mile bullring. Away from the race track, Daley recently graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
