A run at Rookie of the Year honors for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pilot Justin Boston appears to be over, at least for now.

Kyle Busch Motorsports officials confirmed on Wednesday morning that the 25-year-old Maryland native is no longer with the team, after Boston was removed from the team’s driver listing on their website and Christopher Bell was listed as the driver of the No. 54 Toyota in the team’s race advance.

Boston, who had driven the first nine races of the year for the team in the No. 54 Toyota, posted four top ten finishes in his nine race stint with KBM, including a season-best effort of seventh at Kansas in May, and sits 12th in the NCWTS championship points standings going into Thursday night’s UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

Boston told CATCHFENCE.com that he does not plan to seek a ride for the tenth event of the season tomorrow night.

While not currently known if Bell will continue to pilot the No. 54 Toyota beyond Kentucky, the open-wheel midget and sprint car standout posted a fifth place finish in his Truck Series debut at Iowa on June 19.
