WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — official team release by Race Chaser Online Managing Editor Jacob Seelman — Boomtown Sim photo —

RCO-Boomtown Sim’s Mitch Rollo started from the pole and used track position to his advantage, leading all 45 laps of Monday night’s top-split iRacing.com Class A Series event at Watkins Glen International to score the victory at the historic road course.

The win was Rollo’s second win of Season 3 in just six starts, and came on a rare off week for the =RSR= Full Throttle Cup Series — the regular tour that Rollo and teammates Corbin Himstreet, Anthony DeBaro and Christopher Hurlow compete in on Monday nights. The event served as a tune-up for the FTCS race at WGI on August 10.

Rollo’s win was a dominating performance. He left only six cars on the lead lap at the finish and beat runner-up Jordan Werth to the checkered flag by 18.930 seconds.

“It was great to get the in A-Fixed at Watkins Glen, but I have some work to do if I want to win the Full Throttle Cup Series race next Monday. There is some crazy competition I am up against in that series such as Thomas George, Dylan Jones and David Comstock, but I am gonna drive my butt off to try and get a win.”

“However next week turns out, this win gives me a lot of confidence ahead of my one-year anniversary start in the Full Throttle Cup Series and it’s one that the team will celebrate in a big way this week.”

Ethan Lane rounded out the podium finishers in third, followed by Hurlow and Neil Donahue.

DeBaro came home as the first car one lap down in seventh, while team principal Himstreet elected not to compete in the event.

RCO-Boomtown Sim will return to the track for the Full Throttle 150 at the Glen on August 10, round 19 of the 2015 =RSR= Full Throttle Cup Series season.
