Motorsports news website Race Chaser Online and =RSR= Full Throttle Cup Series team RaDiUs Motorsports have announced an eleventh-hour deal that will see former series winner Adam Benefiel pilot a second entry for the team in Monday night’s Ford Performance Night Race at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
Benefiel will drive the No. 01 RCO Chevrolet in search of his fifth career FTCS victory and first at BMS.
“It’s really cool to make my return to the Full Throttle Cup Series and RSR after a little bit of off-time,” Benefiel said. “Since we’re not in the battle for points, this race is all about trying to get a win and making the sponsors proud. Thanks to Race Chaser Online for stepping up to the plate and giving us a chance to represent them well tonight — I hope we’ll be sitting in Victory Lane at the end of 225 laps at the concrete coliseum.”
“When I found out Adam was available, I knew I wanted to put something together to get him behind the wheel of a car for us in at least one race this year,” added RaDiUs Motorsports team principal Jacob Seelman. “Luckily we were able to work something out for Bristol — it happened really quickly but I’m glad to have him representing the team and the Race Chaser website in Thunder Valley.”
“Adam’s always been good at Bristol, he’s just never had the luck to show for it. I’m hoping that Monday night’s race changes that streak for him.”
Benefiel competed in the first 11 races of the season for NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series team One Up Motorsports, as a teammate to current FTCS points leader Dwayne Vincent.
