INDIANAPOLIS – Logan Seavey is among the drivers who will lead the field to green to start Thursday’s portion of the Driven2SaveLives BC39 presented by NOS Energy Drink at the Dirt Track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Seavey, the current USAC P1 Insurance National Midget Series points leader, is one of eight polesitters for the sequence of 10-lap qualifiers that will help set the stage for the night’s feature racing card.

The 21-year-old Sutter, Calif., native noted that the energy surrounding the IMS dirt track is like few things he’s experienced in his career.

“The atmosphere here is pretty unbelievable. The place was packed for hot laps yesterday and I know there will be even more tonight,” said Seavey. “It is really special to race here at IMS and you can see in every driver how badly they want to be the first to win a dirt midget race here at the speedway. They did a pursuit race last night and there wasn’t a person in the stands using their seat.

“It was pretty incredible to see how much the crowd was into the racing. Hopefully we can keep the show going tonight.”

Seavey will be joined on the front of the qualifiers by Gage Walker, Trey Osborne, Aaron Leffel, Davey Ray, Payton Pierce, Kevin Studley and Landon Simon.

Among those who have a long way to climb on Thursday night at IndyCar driver Conor Daly, who starts on the tail of the third qualifier; NASCAR Cup Series regular Landon Cassill, who rolls from 13th in the fifth qualifier; USAC Triple Crown champion Tracy Hines, who lines up 13th in qualifier six, and Karsyn Elledge, who grids eighth for the eighth and final qualifier of the program.

Pre-race favorite Christopher Bell will start third in the second qualifier, while fellow NASCAR star Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rolls from the same position in the seventh qualifier.
