TULSA, Okla. – Two-time defending Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals winner Christopher Bell will seek his fourth consecutive Thursday preliminary victory during John Christner Trucking Qualifying Night at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

Bell, a former NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series champion who won seven NASCAR Xfinity Series races last year with Joe Gibbs Racing, will wheel the No. 71W iRacing.com Bullet/Toyota for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports.

The Norman, Okla., native will have two rookie teammates on Thursday in McKenna Haase and Sam Johnson.

Clauson-Marshall Racing will be represented by West Coast open-wheel ace Shane Golobic and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series regular Sheldon Haudenschild. Golobic qualified for the Chili Bowl finale last year, while Haudenschild has been a contender before but is still seeking his first Saturday A-main start.

Tracy Hines, who won the Chili Bowl in 2005, will drive for Wilke-Pak Motorsports this year in pursuit of his second Golden Driller, while fellow open-wheel veteran Jerry Coons Jr. will look to return to the finale field this year after having his streak of 14-straight Saturday A-main starts snapped last January.

Chase Johnson, the Cinderella story of last year’s Chili Bowl, returns to Tulsa with Morris Motorsports in an effort to make his second Saturday feature. On the flip side, Karsyn Elledge heads a class of 16 rookies making their first appearances at the Chili Bowl Nationals on Thursday night.

Other notable names in the Thursday entry pool include NASCAR star Justin Allgaier, recent Junior Knepper 55 winner Thomas Meseraull, Andrew Felker, World of Outlaws sprint car race director Mike Hess and new World of Outlaws late model series director Casey Shuman.
