SALISBURY, N.C. – Millbridge Speedway has pushed its scheduled Wednesday night race program back one week to May 2, after heavy rains and flooding conditions blanketed the greater Charlotte region for the two days leading into the event.

The creek running along the front pit entrance had swollen to nearly flood the gate leading into the sixth-mile dirt oval, and with water levels not receding quickly on Wednesday and the track not in top shape, the decision was made to postpone.

This marks the second Wednesday night in five attempts that Millbridge officials have been forced to postpone racing action due to weather so far this season.

Friday night’s Nitro Manufacturing flat kart program is on as scheduled, pending track cleanup efforts.
