MOORESVILLE, N.C. – official release —

Global Financial Consumer Services will sponsor the B mains during the second annual QRC SPEED SPORT Challenge presented by JGRMX May 19-20 at Millbridge Speedway.

Global Financial Director Adam Mills is a race fan and understands the funding it takes to get started in the sport. Mills and his partners at Global Financial came up with a business plan that could possibly shift in the paradigm of affording auto racing.

“Our goals for race financing are simple,” Mills said. “Provide our clients with the ability to participate in the sport of racing in an affordable fashion.  There are a ton of folks that don’t have the required cash to go racing all at once. We believe we can change grassroots racing by providing a vehicle — no pun intended — to racers who have been dying to go racing and can now afford to.”

Starting at the entry level Global Financial is partnering with SKE Karts owner Kyle Beattie. Beattie and his company held a community day event at Millbridge Speedway in an effort to raise awareness of the sport. The event allowed kids and adults of all ages to test drive an SKE outlaw kart.

One of Mills business partners attended the event, test drove a car and became hooked on the racing division.

“Our targets are the families that want to get their kids into a race car as well as the adult who never knew they could afford to go racing,” Mills said. “There two reasons why people who want to go racing don’t. Those reasons are cost and knowledge. We have affordable payment plans that dispose of the cost issue. We are working with Kyle Beattie at SKE on the knowledge part. Our program currently includes servicing and setup done by SKE. All you need to do is show up to the track with your helmet.”

The SPEED SPORT Challenge features a unique blend of local racers and traveling stars.

“We have been following what has been going on at Millbridge Speedway for a while now,” Mills said. “We are also racers and have worked in the sport professionally. The Burnetts and Kyle Beattie have thrown their heart and soul into outlaw kart racing and it shows. Outlaw kart racing gives drivers the best training at the lowest cost. The SPEED SPORT Challenge is everything that is right about racing. When was the last time major league players showed up at your local ball field and you got to get close to these stars and play against them? It doesn’t happen. A race like this is why we want to be the racers choice for financing their dreams.”

The QRC SPEED SPORT Challenge presented by JGRMX is expected to draw more than 60 open winged outlaw karts to the sixth-mile dirt track during the week of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
