HAMPTON, Ga. — Post-race inspection failures marred both Kyle Busch’s victory in the XFINITY Series and Chase Elliott’s fifth-place finish in the Camping World Truck Series on Saturday at Atlanta.

Busch’s No. 18 NOS Energy did not pass post-race inspection after it was too low in the left front and right front. That car, along with the No. 1 of Elliott Sadler (who was selected as the random car in the field), will go to the NASCAR Research & Development Center in Concord for further inspection. Any penalties on the No. 18 will be announced mid-week.

In the Camping World Truck Series, Elliott’s No. 23 Allegiant Airlines/ NAPA Chevrolet was found to be too low, and also had a loose lugnut on one of its wheels.

That car, along with the No. 88 of Matt Crafton and the No. 24 of Alex Bowman (who was selected as the random car in the field), will go to the NASCAR Research & Development Center in Concord for further inspection. Any penalties will be announced mid-week.
