DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR announced Wednesday the dates and locations for its postseason awards banquets, which annually highlight the top performers from its national and regional touring series.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards Show will return to the Las Vegas for the 10th year this fall, set for Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
The Cup Series Champion’s Week festivities return to Sin City after speculation early in the year that the awards could move away from Las Vegas. The NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series banquet moved from Miami to Charlotte last year.
No additional details were provided about the length of the deal for the Cup Series awards show to remain in Las Vegas. No firm contract was in place prior to Wednesday’s announcement.
Meanwhile, both the joint NASCAR Xfinity Series-NASCAR Camping World Truck Series banquet and the NASCAR Home Tracks Champions Awards return to Charlotte, N.C., in December, taking place Dec. 7-8 inside the Charlotte Convention Center at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Last year was the first time the touring series awards and the Xfinity Series and Truck Series awards were presented in Charlotte on the same weekend.
Friday night will celebrate the champions and standouts from the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, NASCAR Pinty’s Series, NASCAR Peak Mexico Series and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, before the national series stars take to the stage on Saturday night for their honors.
Martin Truex Jr. (Cup), William Byron (Xfinity) and Christopher Bell (Trucks) were honored as last year’s NASCAR national series titlists, while Harrison Burton (K&N East), Todd Gilliland (K&N West), Doug Coby (Modified Tour), Alex Labbe (Pinty’s), Alon Day (Euro), Abraham Calderón (Mexico) and Lee Pulliam (Whelen All-American) celebrated as regional touring series champions.
