CONCORD, N.C. – Entrepreneur and versatile racing driver Justin Marks has announced that he will conclude his career in NASCAR following this weekend’s doubleheader at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.

Marks, who has been known primarily as a road-course specialist during his time in stock cars and competes regularly in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Meyer Shank Racing, will run in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at CMS to conclude his NASCAR tenure.

The 37-year-old native of St. Louis will pilot the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for Chip Ganassi Racing in the Drive for the Cure 200 on Saturday before shifting his focus over to the No. 15 GoPro Motorplex-sponsored entry for Premium Motorsports for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m really looking forward to what will be my last-ever weekend competing in NASCAR,” noted Marks in a statement on social media. “(Running) double duty with Chip Ganassi Racing and Premium Motorsports in Xfinity and Cup is a big deal. I’m lucky to have had all the opportunities I’ve had in 10-plus years. I’m gonna have some fun and leave it all out there!”

Marks’ career line includes five appearances in the Cup Series, 34 Xfinity Series starts and 38 Truck Series races. While he never ran a full season in any of NASCAR’s top three divisions, Marks ran at least half the schedule on three occasions – twice in the Truck Series (’08, ’11) and once in the Xfinity Series (’16).

His career moment came during that 2016 season, when he drove to victory in the Xfinity Series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Ganassi’s No. 42 Chevrolet, leading 43 of 75 laps en route to the win.

All told, Marks has one win, two top-five and six top-10 finishes in Xfinity Series competition. He also has two poles and four top-10 finishes in the Truck Series, while his best Cup Series result was 12th in this year’s Daytona 500 for Rick Ware Racing.
