March 4, 2014 — RaceChaser Online/Speed77 Radio audio — CHARLOTTE, NC — On last night’s fiery edition of Motorsports Madness, the Speed77 Radio/RaceChaser Online cast of characters got wild, crazy and a whole lot madder on a brand new installment that featured everything from NASCAR and Formula One to V8 Supercars and Late Models as the crew tackled the news and views of the day from around the world of motorsports.

NASCAR’s date with the Valley of the Sun was a steamy talking point, as co-hosts Jacob Seelman, Tom Baker and James Pike broke down Kevin Harvick’s first win with Stewart-Haas Racing, Kyle Busch’s desert dominance and the NASCAR Touring Series wins of Cole Custer and Daniel Suarez, who found redemption and momentum, respectfully, over the course of the weekend.

Daniel Hemric and Cameron Hayley dropped by the show to talk about their stellar performances during the Fox Carolina 150 on Saturday night, the season-opening event for the PASS South Super Late Model Series. Hemric beat Hayley to the checkered flag after he passed Randy Gentry after a late race caution flag and survived a ten lap dash to the finish.

Our F1 and IndyCar specialist Joel Sebastianelli returned to the roundtable to discuss F1 preseason testing in preparation for next week’s season-opening Australian Grand Prix, including who’s hot and who’s not in the preseason look at the World Championship. He also had strong opinions regarding Jacques Villeneuve’s return to the Indianapolis 500 and Gabby Chaves’ new ride with the DeltaWing for the 12 Hours of Sebring, as well as about the DeltaWing itself!

The entire crew got fired up during a lively “Black Flag, Checkered Flag” segment, where opinions flew and claws came out as our analysts tossed around technology at Indianapolis, the downs (and ups) of the AMA Supercross round from Indy, Phoenix dominance, crazy calls from the Land Down Under and even each other before things were settled!

Not to be forgotten or outdone, our resident Australian James Pike talked up the wins of all three heroes of the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide; Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes and James Courtney, back from injury after sitting out the final two races of 2013. He also broke down the significance of Scott McLaughlin’s maiden podium for Volvo in their return to Australian motorsport as well as the “Interview Heard Round the World”!

The gang even made their picks (and didn’t gamble) for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend in Sin City, Las Vegas, as part of a new round of 77 Performance Picks!

Sit back and fasten your seatbelts, because you’ll need them! Enjoy the show!
