Timmy Hill Motorsports (THM) announced on Friday night that Anthony DeBaro will fill in for regular driver Brian Macklin behind the wheel of the team’s No. 30 entry for Monday night’s =RSR= Full Throttle Cup Series Thunder Valley 225 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

DeBaro, a rookie on the RCO-Boomtown Sim Racing squad, will be making his debut in FTCS competition and says he is excited for the opportunity to bump up to the top level of Real Sim Racing competition after competing in the =RSR= Asphalt Assault (XFINITY) Series so far in 2015.

“I’m very excited and grateful for this opportunity given to me, it’s a great chance for me to showcase my talent and a even better opportunity to learn,” DeBaro said. “Even though it is Bristol, and it’s going to be chaotic, I think I can keep the car clean and be there at the end with a good finish for both RCO Boomtown and for Brian and his THM crew as well.”

Despite it being his first foray into the big leagues of =RSR=, DeBaro has a simple checklist of expectations he’ll be hoping to accomplish on Monday night.

“[My goal is to] run all the laps, earn my competitors’ respect, keep the car clean and make a statement,” DeBaro explained. “Hopefully it’ll be a good one. All we can control is our own car — we know anything can happen at Bristol.”

Macklin sits 20th in points through seven Full Throttle Cup events in 2015, with a best finish of fifth at Auto Club Speedway, and says he is frustrated with not being able to be behind the wheel despite knowing his car will be well looked after.

“I hate it, it’s just a scheduling thing — and those job things happen — but it always eats at you not being behind the wheel,” Macklin said. “I’m not worried though, I think Anthony will do a solid job for us, and hopefully he can stay out of trouble and get us some good points, because we definitely need all the help we can get.”

“Then, we’ll get back at it at Richmond and just go from there.”

Catch DeBaro at the wheel of the No. 30 Chevrolet SS live on LSRTV beginning at 9:30 p.m. Eastern on Monday night during the flag-to-flag broadcast of the Thunder Valley 225 from Bristol.
