February 25, 2014 — RaceChaser Online/Speed77 Radio audio — CHARLOTTE, NC — On last night’s special two-hour post-Daytona 500 edition of Motorsports Madness, the cast and crew got out their magnifying glasses and spotlights as they broke down the good, the bad, and the downright crazy from Daytona Speedweeks, the Volusia DIRTcar Nationals, the NHRA and more on Speed77 Radio powered by Race Chaser Online.

Led by co-hosts Jacob Seelman, James Pike and Tom Baker, the 77 Crew broke down Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s second win in the Great American Race, Denny Hamlin’s return to prominence during Speedweeks, Regan Smith and Kyle Busch’s triumphs in the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, and the idea of the Daytona 500 moving to primetime on a permanent basis.

The flagstand was full as black and checkered flags flew across the board, ranging from drafting penalties to track personnel to the success of the sport’s “little guys” and even to the success of several high-profile female competitors in NHRA drag racing.

Kyle Souza joined us to draw the curtain on the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing from New Smyrna Speedway and to preview the upcoming WHELEN Modified and Southern Modified Tour seasons which kick off next month.

Steven Ovens and the crew of the Turn 5 Racing Podcast rejoined the Roundtable to talk dirt racing and throw the checkered flag on the DIRTcar Nationals and everything from the UMP Modifieds to the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Models to the big-block dirt modifieds of Super DIRTcar.

James Pike set up race fans with an exclusive look “Down Under” as the Australian V8 Supercar Championship sets up to kick off this weekend in Adelaide with the running of the Clipsal 500.

And the gang made their picks for the “Valley of the Sun” as NASCAR invades Phoenix International Raceway this weekend, as well as broke down all the latest from the world of sprint cars, sports cars, and more from across the world of motorsports!

Take a seat and enjoy the show!
